Washington Desert Sagebrushers Newsletter

September 2004 Newsletter
Yard Sale July 31st
The
Washington Desert Sagebrushers’ garage sale, organized by Josie Beech and
Cindy Faith, was a huge success. From the “garage sellers” view, it was one
of the largest sales, both in quantity of items and buyer attendance. The
location of the home was fantastic for customer location.
The volume of items donated was so tremendous, that it was simply too much
for such a few helpers, but Josie, Cindy, Connie and Sherrie made it happen.
Items had to be sorted, priced, hung up, etc. Early shoppers were there
early!!! Due to the time restraint and the quantity, a lot of items had to
be left in bags for shoppers to sort through.
Displaying of clothing, neatly hung on the fence, sold very well Clothes
Hangers were at a minimum. Due to the amount of our donations and the large
shopping attendance, the lack of cashiers and ability to monitor the
customers, was a great frustration for our gals. Some monies were lost
because of the inability to
sell, assist and monitor the shoppers.
Connie Coppersmith and Sherrie Huff get a standing ovation, along with Cindy
and Josie, for their dedication and their willingness to succeed at such a
grand task.
Josie and Cindy are new members to our chapter. Their dedication,
enthusiasm, wiliness and their follow-through is to be commended. As a
chapter, we should nurture, support and assist our new members. How
fortunate we are to have such wonderful new members
Thank You Gals!!!

Hi Everyone :-)
Just a reminder, the wonderful pattern packets are in for The Connie Parkinson Seminar! I've been emailing her and she says she is very social and wants to see our area. She is also bringing a small store with her so we will have to purchase products that are not available to us here, brushes, packets, etc. YEA!!!!! On Sat. night we are planning to take her to Granny's or Old Country Buffet and would like you to join us. Connie is coming Fri. afternoon and leaving Mon. afternoon so there will be lots of time to socialize with her if you like. I'm not sure where everyone would like to eat out Sun. night but I'm open to suggestions.
Two gals are coming to the seminar from Spokane and are staying with me. They are excited to meet everyone and they sound like lots of fun and just love to paint. Ginger is a member of our group and she is bringing her sister Patty with her. We are all planning to eat with Connie and I would love to have you join us.
I have the Seminar packets ready to go so just send your monies to me and I will get them right out to you. If you have any questions just give me a call at 547-3775 and I will do my best to answer them. The Seminar pieces are $25 per class for members and $35 for nonmembers. Splash will be taught on Sat. and Wings will be painted on Sun. at the Transit Center in the Richland "Y". Thank you Sharon Roylance for making the space available to our members! 1st VP- Cle Ella 547-3775
