Hi All, 

Thank you all for responding via mail-in ballot for the Connie Parkinson seminar. This process appears to work well with all of our busy schedules. It really stream-lined the final process selection and everyone had fun. Now, on to our officer and committee news.  Keep Cool, Keep Safe and Have Fun

Board Meeting Notes

At the meeting on 6/21/2004 held at On a Whim members met and counted the member submitted votes for the projects.  Through a process of elimination of those submitted votes the final projects are Wings and Splash.

Vacation: Cle Ella will provide an update at the next board meeting. 
Labels Jeanie will print out labels for the newsletter. 
Email Newsletter: Boots will poll the members to see who only wants email newsletter.

TREASURER

Raffle Tickets  Pat reported that so far $100 dollars has been earned on tickets for the two raffle items. Our chest and clock are currently being displayed at Beau Arts. Please help support your chapter by either buying or selling raffle tickets. Both projects would make lovely home décor items or wonderful gifts for Christmas giving.

WAYS & Means  MEMBERSHIP  Yard Sale Volunteers/Donations

Yard Sale Location: Cindy Faith, 1724 W. 9th, Kennewick. 8:00 AM- 3PM.  Set Up: Friday July 30th.  Cindy and Josie are planning a member garage sale to raise additional funds for WDS. The area is enclosed with a fence for over night protection GET YOUR STUFF READY THAT YOU WANT TO DONATE:. Household, painted pieces, craft and painting supplies, pop, bottled water, individually wrapped goodies; the lending of coolers will be appreciated. Ice will be purchased by the chapter. Lending of canopies would be more than nice to provide shade for volunteers. Drop Off locations: (1)Cindy Faith - call and make arrangements (2) Day time - Jeanie Dixon 6305 W. Argent, Pasco. Leave items on back patio. Please label containers “WDS”. Donated items that don’t sell will go to a nonprofit organization like the Salvation Army.

2005 OFFICER NOMINATIONS

Nominating Committee: Josie Beach and Cindy Faith have agreed to be the nominating committee. They are accepting volunteers who desire to run as an officer in 2005. Contact Josie and Cindy if you wish to add your name and office which you desire.  Officer elections will be held at our Nov 2004 meeting. Current officers are willing to mentor the new officers

 

BEAUX ARTS EXTRAVAGANZA

Volunteer Teachers Needed
Beaux Arts will be holding a Craft Extravaganza as a fund raiser for the gallery.  The one day affair will be held in the Broadmore Square food court area:
Saturday, July 17th 10:00AM – 3:00PM. 
Volunteer teachers are needed to teach various craft/paint projects that will be offered to Broadmore customers for a small fee.  Volunteer teachers would be able to advertise the chapter using cards and brochures.

Jeanie handed out Fair booklets at the 6/21 meeting.  Fair theme is “Leap into the Fair”.  Frogs are the theme.  You will receive one free fair pass with entry.  Fair details are provided in the booklet which can be found at businesses that are sponsoring the fair.
