Tri-City Model Railroaders

The Tri-City Model Railroaders (TCMR) have been apart of the Mid-Columbia for more then 30 years! Established in 1972 by model railroad enthusiasts to promote the hobby of model railroading and give people in this area a place to meet and enjoy all forms of this hobby.

I have little to no modeling skills but I enjoy this hobby. What could I bring to this club?

Well we have found that EVERYONE has useful skills! Very few of us are a master of everything but that makes this club so unique. Everyone has their own special input!

What could I learn?

Since everyone brings their own skills to share and teach others, together we have been able to build some very impressive displays and shows. You will find us to be a very open and welcoming group that will be more then willing to help you! Like any club, the more effort you put in the more knowledge you will received from it.

What activities does this club offer?

There are several things that we offer within this club.  Many of the things we offer are building sessions of models at members’ houses, railroad operation sessions (running the trains on a layout like the real railroad with train crews and dispatchers), portable railroad shows, monthly business meetings, and much more!

The TCMR is HO but I want to work in a different scale.

No problem! There are MANY things that can be crossed over from different scales. Our members have HO, N, HOn3, G, and TT. If there is a scale that we missed I guarantee we can work with it!

Is it expensive to be a member?

We have some of the lowest club dues in the country believe it or not!  At $7.50 a month you will receive the best bang for your buck. As a member of the TCMR you are automatically a member of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). So along with all the perks of the TCMR you will get the perks of the NMRA too!

I would like to see more information on the TCMR. Where can I find it?

For the TCMR go to: www.owt.com/tcmr/

For the NMRA go to: www.nmra.org

We extend an open invitation to you to come and visit us!

Come and give us a try for free! We welcome all visitors so what have you got to lose???

Hope to see you soon!
