Personal Home Pages

Users with PPP/SLIP or ISDN access accounts can request a FREE personal home page so that you may have a personal presence on the World Wide Web. Personal web pages are restricted only in that they may not contain any commercial content or pornographic material. Personal web sites reside in your personal directory so you may use up to the full 5 MB of disk space allotted to you!

OWT will configure your page so that you may design your web site within your personal directory included with your account. You must learn enough HTML (HyperText Markup Language) to create your pages, but learning HTML is fun - simple HTML development can be done by almost anyone. We'll even point you in the right direction so that you can learn HTML without buying a book!

Unlike most Internet Service Providers, OWT provides a certain amount of CGI (Common Gateway Interface) utilities that users may use within their personal pages. We offer:

• ImageMaps
• Forms Mail Processors- have forms forwarded to your e-mail address
• Page Access Counter - counts how many times your page has been accessed

We also support "Server-side Includes" which means you can have a variety of other features and environment variables in your pages including:

• Automatic retrieval of the last update date
• Password protection and restricted access to pages (requires some Unix knowledge)
• IP address and Hostname of the user accessing your page
• Username of the user accessing your page (if password protection is used)
• Automatic page refresh or refrencing
