Timex Stop Watch can only be started at 0:00'00".00 hours

Procedure to synchronize to watches so the start tracking time at zero hours.  

Press the black MODE button until the flashing underline is under the word SPLIT which is under the seconds digits

If the time is running, stop the watch and zero by: Press the blue START/STOP button and hold down.  Then press the black LAP-SPIT/RESET button and then release all after zeroed.  

With both watches at zero, simultaneously press the blue START/STOP switch and release.  

To capture the time of start (or finish), press the black LAP-SPIT button and the digits will stop so they can be recorded. Upon pressing the black LAP-SPIT button again will again display running time since the original start at zero.  

NOTE:   The blue button should never be pressed after the original start or the running time is lost and both watches will have to be resynced.
