Hooking, Acrobatic but Legal: next, back one page, or page 1

Another common, and legal, pass is when a competitor hooks a gate and "spins" through. It does not matter in what order, or sequence, the boots and ski tips pass the gate line. It does not matter in what direction they pass the line. It only matters that the boots and ski tips pass over the line in one contiguous passage. It only matters that the boots and ski tips pass over the line in one contiguous passage. This excludes having a racer straddle the gate, and then hike so as to bring only the ski and boot that passed outside the pole above the gate line, and then continuing on course. The passage must be complete in one contiguous pass through, so as to eliminate the possibility of introducing doubt as to which tip or which boot did/did not pass the gate line, or at what time. Therefore, the hiking racer must hike so as to bring both boots and both tips over the gate line before proceeding on course.
