Our Mission:
Meet Community Needs Today.
Develop Leaders for Tomorrow.
We unite and empower diverse people to strengthen our community. We develop in them the leadership skills needed to become lifelong contributors to the development of healthy and vibrant communities.

Our History
The Regional Service Corps (formerly known as the Regional Youth Service Corps) was founded in October 1992. From humble beginnings and just six Corps Members, the program has grown to serve more than a dozen schools and even more community organizations with an average force of 30 Corps Members per year.

To date, over 500 people, from all walks of life, have brightened the lives of others while improving themselves through our unique Leadership Enhancement Program that's widely recognized as a best practice in the National Service field.

How You Fit In
Whether you are 18 years old or 81 years young
, we're looking for enthusiastic adults, ready to dedicate themselves to a full-time, ten-month term of service. We appreciate those who bring their own gifts, talents and skills. Hopefully, those gifts include a can-do attitude, a sense of humor, a zest for learning, and a strong desire to help others..

Our program runs from September through June of each year. Following three weeks of pre-service training, members are assigned to host sites where they improve the capacity of those organizations to serve their clients. Twice a month the team gathers to provide updates, share resources, and participate in our Leadership Enhancement Program. Special projects, planned and facilitated by members, are conducted periodically throughout the year, and members are also called upon to support activities that address various literacy, public safety, environmental and human service needs.

It is essential that you are willing to work with a diverse team of people and are committed to the idea and practice of service as a way to improve yourself and the lives of others. You'll get as much responsibility as you can handle and do work that challenges you in an environment designed to advance your leadership skills..
