Award
$4,725 for each term of
service to further your education or help pay off student loans.
Serve for
two years and you'll be nearly $10,000 closer to achieving your
educational goals!
Not going to
college? Non-traditional
use of the AmeriCorps Education Award means that
you are able to use your Education Award for courses other than
a 4-year degree program.
Vouchers may be used in a variety of creative ways to fit your
specific needs and life- goals.

Even if
you already have a college degree, the Education Award can be
used for Continuing
Education or personal enrichment classes.
Living
Allowance ... plus!
$875 per month. It's true
... you won't get rich off of it, but AmeriCorps members will
tell you
that it adequately covers your expenses if you live at the level
of the people you're serving.
You'll also receive basic medical insurance, and may qualify for child care assistance.
And, you may be eligible for forbearance and interest payments on your student loans.
