1) Beautiful color but disappointing because it blooms and blows very rapidly and is not a prolific bloomer like other David Austins. Also one of the least fragrant Austins. 2) I like the silky 3 1/2 inch, fully cupped light-to-medium orange flowers. In our hot, dry summer weather at 100-105 degrees, flowers don't last the full day. They are so exquisite that I gladly accept that flaw. 3) Weak branches don't support flowers. Great color. Vigorous growth with dark green foliage. This exhibition variety is blessed with wonderful color and magnificent form. Another grower is still patiently waiting for something special to happen. One plant has a gall at the base, b ut since it doesn't seem to bother the bush, the grower is ignoring it.

Fuchsia blooms are large and gorgeous. The center point holds for a few days–and then boom, the bloom is open. Timing for a show will be critical. But this is a moot point if the stems don't grow. All but one are finger length! First year bush, so I'm hoping!

All love the color changing from a green tinge to yellow, holding up even in the heat of summer. In fall buds are green until almost fully open. Holds a week as cut flower. Not classical form–almost flat when fully open but love it anyway. One says form is poor on most blooms; another says form is one of this variety's strong points. Prolific bloomer for some, not a good repeater for one first year grower, and also her bush is on the small side. Needs lots of disbudding. Attractive foliage.

Buff orange blooms are large and showy. Unfortunately, double centers are common, but the bloom will stay closed for awhile and disguise the problem. The bush nearly always has color, and it is a worthwhile garden variety.
