A light, airy look in the garden, many tall, straight stems

1) Beautiful color but disappointing because it blooms and
blows very rapidly and is not a prolific bloomer like other
David Austins. Also one of the least fragrant Austins. 2) I
like the silky 3 1/2 inch, fully cupped light-to-medium
orange flowers. In our hot, dry summer weather at 100-105
degrees, flowers don't last the full day. They are so
exquisite that I gladly accept that flaw. 3) Weak branches
don't support flowers. Great color. Winter hardy. |

I have had this rose for 10 years. It has a low petal count,
the flowers open out flat and are off-white or buff color,
exposing the centers, bringing serenity to its corner of the
garden. It stops visitors in their tracks, to take in this
calming beauty. Winter hardy. |

Large 4 inch flowers are gold on the reverse, medium
orange inside. Very cupped flowers create a sensational riot of orange tones
inside the cup. A fault is downward hanging flowers. This seems to be
improving with age, however. Bright, glossy medium-green foliage. Ive tried twice to grow it, and it just sits there and wastes away. Maybe 3rd times a charm?

Vina doesn't like its growth habit. It sends up long canes, and the cane is sometimes out of proportion to the bloom. Jane suggests placing it behind shorter roses in beds, as it can top 6 1/2 feet by fall. JoAnn and Jane find lots

The large buff orange blooms have a voluptuous quality. The pointed center usually splits, the bloom puffs into many intricate folds like a beautiful Old Garden Rose, and it holds freshly for a long time. The healthy, vigorous bush is generous with blooms. Most will show in the openbloom class, or they may be used in arrangements or bouquets. |

Grows well with good growth habit. Even a new bush is covered with bloom. Lasts well in the vase and has lovely blooms at all stages. Opens like Elinaall gentle ruffles. Todd says it opens fast due to the small number of
